History of Xylon Switzerland
Xylon, the society of wood engravers was founded in 1944 in Switzerland (at the time it was called XYLOS).
Today more than 50 artists working with relief printing are members of Xylon Switzerland. The aim of Xylon is to organise joint exhibitions at home and abroad, and to publish the Xylon periodical with original wood-cut prints.
How to become an active member of Xylon Switzerland
Once a year at the General Meeting in spring will be voted on the admission of new members.
Prerequisites: You have a connection to Switzerland and wood engraving has an important position within your artistic oeuvre.
Please apply through the mediation of an active xylon member. Your application will then be forwarded to the board.
